A friend and myself were on motorcycle’s riding up Trail Ridge Road in August and the same thing happened. We jumped on a parked school bus full of kid’s and waited out the storm until it passed.

We got stuck on top of the mountain because of the snow and our tour guide said they have to open it "sooner or later" because we'd all get sick with lack of oxygen. Longest 20 minutes of my life!
