@socialbybri: Who would you be if no one ever made you feel small? You can still become them. One of the most unethical experiments in history. Children were used without their consent. Some were told they would develop speech problems. They did. This study shows how words, behaviors, and patterns, especially in childhood, can leave damage that lasts a lifetime. 🎥: The Monster Study - Practical Psychology #TheLesson #Psychology #MonsterStudy #EmotionalAbuse #ChildhoodTrauma #Healing #Lifelessonswithbri

Thats why teachers are dangerous, one teacher dislikes a kid and watch the future problems rise

Wait so… if praising doesn’t have much effect, and scolding makes things worse, then what works?

This is what my parents did, treated me normally in spite of my raging dopamine deficiency, later they admitted that they saw that something was wrong. Guess what? I’m still struggling.

🎯 that’s why I don’t care if people find it embarrassing when I very loudly correct them if I hear them say anything negative about a personal characteristic to my children. As a parent who went through a lot of trauma, ain’t nobody going to walk over my kids and it’s important they hear their moms loud voice advocating for them.

My very keen kindergarten girl, is a great reader, she’s suddenly refusing to read saying she’s bad at it, turns out the sub teacher told her she’s reading too slow. She’s 5! WHO SAYS THAT?

My daughter has speech issues (5.5yo)…unfortunately girls in her class have made her very aware of it. Is there anything I can do to build her back up?

If you were liked by the teacher you'd get better grades, I sad that often because I was on both sides, some years I was amongst their favorite students and some years not, like for example in 5th grade when our teacher had her favorite students that have her massages (in front of the class) cut her nails or paint them.

I only stutter when I try to fully express myself (feelings, thoughts, opinions). Like, I know that I should express myself, just not when I know that the other party won’t like to hear what I say. I think I need therapy.

That’s why amongst other abusive styles, sibling abuse hits really hard because some parents don’t see it as a problem but a reason for the victim to become stronger, but in reality, that victim of sibling abuse is deceived into subconsciously believing their is rarely a peaceful environment. Like, they might even fear cats and dogs because from who is supposed to love them, and support them, they got ridicule and violence

Teachers, especially those I've observed in Caribbean are guilty of berating children like this, causing them to develop several issues that can affect their students' lives.
