Every med is like that. Anti diahrea- may cause diahrea, anti gas- may cause gas, cough medicine- may cause cough. It’s because 1 out of the 100 people reported that side effect while taking it, but it may not even been from that

this is so relatable 😭 I feel like a bunch of my meds are like, "it might cause drowsiness....or insomnia. we'll see!" "it might cause constipation or! diarrhea....we'll see!" they might make you feel better, or much much. worse -- we'll see! I'm definitely on a variety of "choose your own adventure" meds. I hope you get the desired results 🤞

There is now Pharmacogenetic testing that you can go for to see what meds work best for your DNA- not trial and error!!

I’m on amitriptyline and one day my mom sent me a list of 200 side effects. But I’m doing really well. Migraine babe doesn’t really focus on the side effects because of the nocebo effect. Apparently that can be a thing. But a really good source of information about migraine and everything to do with that is the migraine world summit and Neura health. Another one is cerebral torque. I’ve been doing so much better these days as a result of the information I learned from these sources right here on TikTok. I was even a client of NH for six months.

Just started ajovy looked at all the side effects. Did not like the weight gain but I will figure it out. To end up with very bad joint pain 4 days after taking. To find out this it was concerned a possible side effect that it happens 1 in every 100 people but was not down as a side effect. Love migraine treatments. My second does just feel stiff. Let’s hope it works on my migraines.

A patient of mine told me his wife took a natural supplement called Feverfew. I’m going to try it. He said you take it everyday. Willing to try anything. Especially if it’s natural!

propranolol (beta blocker) helped my migraines. I had to stop taking it for other reasons, but it did help!

Is someone with chronic migraines? I feel you however I would take a headache over a migraine so to me that side effect is worth it I started on Quita last September and that has helped substantially. I take Nutec as needed on top of it. I’m still trying to get Botox approved

for anyone who tries an SSRI as a preventative, heat intolerance is a common side effect that Dr's don't usually mention that can be extremely dangerous in the summer, heat stroke is no joke

Only thing that has helped me is candesartan. It’s a high blood pressure medication. 12y and I finally have something to help a bit

I’m on Qulipta (atogepant), the 10mg dose works for me, went up to 15mg and the migraines worsened. So dosage matters too. It has helped, not resolved completely though.

The preventative med that works best for me (Emgality) causes my digestion to slow down so much that I now have to take other meds to counteract that problem 🫠
