I hate how everyone calls him weak because he died, he fought akaza without any knowledge of what he was capable of. Tanjiro and giyu had somewhat knowledge of how akaza fought because tanjiro was there watching rengoku fight.

Technicaly if Shinobu actualy went with Kyojuro, both would have come out alive. Since the start Shinobu already knew there might be an Upper rank, so she would prepare for that casistic, she is tactical and smart, if there is this possibility, thing that Kyojuro pointed out, she would have prepared a stronger poison in her blade, ofcourse not at the levels of the one used against Dōma, but still stronger then the usual one used by her. Still, Akaza wouldn't eat Shinobu, because it's against his morals, but he would hurt her if not kill her if it's necessary. But with Shinobu's poison, and Kyojuro, both would have holded Akaza even till sun rise, even if Akaza might have runned away from the sun light or not, both would have lived. And yes Shinobu wouldn't have died, she is fast, tactical and intelligent as I've already said, plus Kyojuro would protect her when she might be on danger. Akaza might have holded back from Shinobu, but would try a bit more with Kyojuro, understanding he is in danger, and maybe Kyojuro won't even end up become a Donut because of Shinobu, but still end up injuried.

I see "If only Shinobu joined them" everywhere, and in the replies they say "then two Hashira would be dead", or "then he wouldn’t hold back", which are both false. So long Shinobu is in the fight, Akaza would have to hold back, otherwise he’d damage Shinobu and hurt his own morals, which is a big no no for him. So no matter what, Shinobu would make it out alive, whether or not Rengoku would survive with her assistance, maybe, maybe not. Shinobu’s poison could slow Akaza’s movement down and Rengoku would have a slightly better chance at coming out alive. But I’m not arguing this

every one is saying giyu is stronger than rengoku, even from her statement, we can say that he is top 4 or 5 at this point in time,but by the end of infinity castle arc other hashiras might have become stronger because they had up to 1y to train, and we all know how fast and strong hashiras develop,so it's okay to say in the mugen arc rengoku was stronger than giyu with not much difference, but at the end of infinity castle arc giyu has gotten stronger
