@c_deals: In 1979, the body of a young woman was found in a ditch off a highway in Georgetown, Texas. She had no ID, no personal belongings—just a pair of bright orange socks. No one knew who she was, where she came from, or how she ended up there. For nearly 40 years, she was known only as “Orange Socks.” Despite investigators working the case and even getting a confession from a well-known suspect, something never felt right. That confession didn’t match the timeline, and the case went cold for decades. Then in 2019, everything changed. Thanks to new DNA technology and a group of volunteer researchers, her true identity was revealed: Debra Louise Jackson, a 23-year-old from Abilene, Texas. She had been living away from home and was never officially reported missing. Her family finally got answers, but her case is still unsolved. Someone out there knows what happened to Debra.

I live in Georgetown and about 3-5 months ago I was driving to work and found a dead body under a over pass with a plastic bag over its head. I called 911 and it wasn’t reported on the news.

I think about all the times cases like this never got a true answer I mean after 40 years someone’s either dead or have been forgotten enough to blend in and it’s sad that some family’s don’t truly get closure because they can’t find the person who did it

didn't Ottis Toole & Henry Lee Lucas confess to her murder. I may have this mixed with a different case. Rest easy sweetheart. 💔

She had been living away from home she was never officially reported missing NOT her family didn’t care…they were searching for answers. This was 1979…think pay phone once a week not social media/vlogging ‘life away from home’
