Never know when you might meet the one for you. My husband and I realized that we weren't good as a married couple yet we have never divorced. We say it's laziness but the truth is we needed to get out of the marriage mindset and go back to friends. Now we have an excellent relationship. We say we are estranged living together and happy. He has cancer now and I'm going to loose my best friend and partner.

I love that you two stayed together and supported each other through deconstruction. Often it either breaks up the relationship or it removes the common ground that the couple had. And it’s also fine if those things happen, because we should be free to leave if the relationship isn’t right for both involved. But I love that you and your spouse had a deep connection that allowed you to support each other through leaving the church.
