The biggest mistake in our evolution is the intellect to that allows us to see our own pointless, ephemeral place in a blind, mechanical cosmos. We are animals who can contemplate infinity and mortality, and this knowledge is more than our primate brains can bear. We can see the bars of our own cage. As Zapffe put it, humanity is a "breach in the very unity of life, a biological paradox, an abomination, an absurdity, an exaggeration of disastrous nature.” Not only that, we are the only animals that are aware that we are dying as time flies by, so all the entertainment and religions and stuff are just the pathetic attempts we only made to distract us from the fact that everything we do will eventually end.

I feel like since the universe knows we know it is aware of itself it tries to make the worst things happen to us to get us out of it and since it knows our weaknesses (politics, curiosity, ego, Ect.) it uses them against us just a thought tho🤔

Just so everyone knows - light does NOT change its properties depending on whether or not it’s observed. Its properties exist in all their entirety without us, yet we can only visualize it ONE way given the tools our brain creates. We don’t know the half of it.
