How??? what???? You can't plug in the wrong ports. Its literally fail proof. im so confused. you can't plug into a different port. it only goes in one way. square goes into square. circle goes into circle. Otherwise the ports won't fit. Its fail proof.

i found out the hard way bought a pc and the guy gave me a graphics card cable but the pc would not boot it killed the 850w psu but every thing els was fine

I’ve done it too but it was just two different hard drives I fried. After the second one I googled if the cables were interchangeable between other cpus.

you can mix and match but you better trace out how the cables are laid out on the connectors. if it matches the original that came with psu then your good

i significantly lack of sleep cuz a bitch ass mosquito kept me awake the whole night but the way I understood it he didn't want do daisy chain so he most likely used the cables that came with the psu so I think something else went wrong here
