yes, people become harder to love until you understand that everything in this universe is the product of the evolutionary process. then, you start to understand that every being is equally important for the world. if you are extremely intelligent, the final step is universal love instead of hatred

I'm not sure about the curse of clarity. I think that high intelligence helps you read people. actually, Im probably not that high intelligent, more knowledgeable. but having a high level of knowledge helps you to read people and understand their motives. when it comes to close relationships, it is important to understand that people are imperfect, just as we (myself included) are imperfect too. the only way to deal with this is to decide what imperfections you are willing to tolerate, and that helps decide what relationships are worth cultivating and what relationships are worth avoiding.
