that’s actually soooo bad girl once the cotton disintegrates it’ll start to clog your fuel injectors. You won’t notice the seriousness at first it’ll just start with a bit more gas consumption that usual, eventually your tank won’t let you properly fill because it will deem its full from the malfunctioning injectors, the fuel will then start mixing with your oil given there’s too much fuel in the system & will absolutely destroy your engine. If you’re lucky your car will warn you with slow starts, hard acceleration, or rough idling.

people carrying on about injectors getting tampon cotton in them, then the tank not filling and engine being destroyed blah blah, just keyboard mechanics dragon story , 10 tampons floating around the tank wouldn't do shit, the in-tank fuel pump has a pick up filter on it to start with, which ironicly looks like a giant tampon itself, nothing in a tampon is getting past that, let alone past that, through the pump, then through the 15/20 ish micron filter, then into the injectors, but for arguments sake let's pretend it did, lets pretend it was a cup of dirt not a tampon, it would be just a routine injector clean and service,
