Launch control on my mates 7.5R DSG was idiotic. He had a map and the DSG tune. I highly doubt a manual Evo of any type would beat it or even the FQ360/400 they are old cars, old tech. RS3 is even quicker. I prefer the character of older cars but the new stuff is impressive.

I love evos so no hate from me but my stage two 335d xdrive would smoke this thing from a dig all the way to the limiter and thats a diesel. evo's a great car a legend in its own rights but old tech compared to new fast thinking autos and launch control systems no man is ever changing gear as quick as a dsg

Evo is superior to most cars even at its old age. show car, rally car, street car, off-road it can do it all and beat most at the all 🤟 my fave all time machine 💪

fast and untouchable in the 90s and early 2000 but the hyper hatches of today have moved the game on stage 1 rs3 or 40i wud absolutely smoke the evo launch control auto shifts better brakes etc

A stock Golf R will easily outperform that. The DSG transmission shifts far quicker than any manual can. Don’t get me wrong, Evos were incredible in their time (I’ve owned a 6, 9, and 10), but the reality is that today’s modern hot hatches have moved the game forward. The performance gap is just too wide now.

just been watching a mate of mine in Australia building his 1.his built it for roll racing.his 1st build was 1100hp wasn't happy with that.now has 1600hp at 86psi 11200rpm.the uk isnt ready for that quite yet😏love the car bro.

I had a 7rs. LSDs, short box. and a load of fq400 bits thrown at it. launched it from lights with an rs3 next to me and he left me for absolute dead. these cars aren't really that quick by today's standards. a bit dead of anything.
