I really like this series tbh because it’s a lot like my situation. When I was 18 I had to secretly move out and leave a bunch of stuff behind because of a toxic mother. She would abuse me, verbally berate me, gaslight me, and call me names and made me feel like I was a no good useless daughter. I found the opportunity to leave to move in with a different family member (they knew my situation) and took it by throwing my stuff out the window, crawling through, jumping in their car, and disconnected my phone number and started a new life. Watching this series reminds me of it and reminds me of the best choice I made for myself in my life, and that I’ll NEVER go back to that situation EVER. Thank you for making these videos 🖤

when i escaped, i remember how violent my own mother got. threw a full ceramic mug as me and held three interventions the day before trying to convince me i was possessed and god would punish me. anywho now me and my wife share a bed and the only "possession" we worry about is who "possesses' the weighted blanket 😭

Everytime I hear “what do you mean, what do I mean?” It pisses me off to no end. Growing up that’s all I heard, I’m over here like “I didn’t stutter”. Me and moms had a major falling out for blaming me for stuff then getting mad at me when it wasn’t me who did stuff.

When i moved out, I left a note on the counter that I am ok but I can't do this anymore. The hardest decision I ever made but the best one I could ever make for myself. The backlash was just wow.
