45 inmates, so that probably means it’s a selective people that have a lower offense. People deserve second chances under circumstances. People judge so much but them are the people that ignore their families faults lol

prison is horrible Every day, every moment, even if they are walking in a circle, surrounded by men and women, that have pews pointed at them. It is always a punishment. But it is also meant to be a reform. 85% of people will be released. Most people are there are not killers. So you either want them to come out worst than when they enter or better for the community. there is a reason why countries that work hard at reforming their prisoners have so many less that the US in prison. it is simply because they have such a low percentage of return repeat offenders because they are being shown a better way.

Wild how threatened people get when someone finds purpose, even behind bars. Running 13.1 miles doesn’t erase anyone’s past—but it proves they’re still human. Still capable of discipline, growth, struggle, and joy. If that pisses you off, maybe the punishment isn't just happening inside the walls.

imagine seeing your family member/s killer on prison living his best life while you're out in the real world dealing with the pain. Jail shouldn't be fun, otherwise it's not a punishment

we have such high recidivism rates because prison is treated as punishment without reform. Also prisons are for profit and companies who use prisons for labor don't lobby for prison reform

everyone assuming it's the worst of the worst criminals. clearly not a max security prison. i dont think every person can be rehabilitated, we all know that. but these little things do help and can make a difference.

I’m guessing this isn’t a maximum security prison. I have done a 180 on my thoughts regarding prisons. I support this and other programs such as the one where non-violent inmates can be paired with stray cats.
