My understanding is that if you are sued personally, then your landtrust(s) are fair game. Is this correct? 🙏

I live in a community that I purchased my home but have a 50 year land lease for the surrounding property. How would I best protect my home with this kind of setup? Does a land trust even work in this case?

What about insuring the primary residence? Are insurance companies less inclined to insure a primary residence in a land trust - Florida?

@Steve the Accidental Landlord this is exactly what we were talking about yesterday. Liability is true concern - not necessarily taxes.

Off topic. Can you tell me why I see signs that say coming soon for real estate companies, I thought this was when the property was going to be going on sale in the next 72 hours or so. But they haven’t even broken ground yet. @Attorney Cristen Martinez

if you have a rental property in a land trust, can you refinance it the same way you can if it is in your personal name? I had a lender tell me I couldn't, and I thought you could. I was inquiring about a cash out refi at the time. thanks! love the content! Especially as an investor and a Real Estate Agent
