Chronically online liberals believe that all of the opinions they hold are objective truths and morally correct. They don’t just hate the right, they hate the center as well. It’s become an echo chamber and ironically mirrors Christian conservatives from the 2000s.

I’m quite conservative, but I feel the same way. The liberals seem to hate us, but I don’t hate them back. I just feel that they are still brainwashed by society and the media, and I hope they eventually come around to reality

Most logical people are moderate. Leaning all the way left or all the way right boarders on radicalism to me. And both ends are naive in my opinion. The middle is where it's at.

Honestly I disagree. There’s a difference between naive and willfully ignorant. They can be given all the facts right in front them but it will not make a difference

And yet the policies they advocate would seem to suggest otherwise. Democrats and left-wingers endorse policies that help predominantly lower-income red states. While Republicans and right-wingers endorse policies that punish, jail, deport, cut funding, socially isolate and ban.

And my hope, when I hear all of this is that one day, everyone will realize that it doesn't matter what you are left, right, liberal, conservative red blue, it's all the same .. These are all the views they want us to have. And the more animosity and indifference they win And until we unite, as one, we will continue To be held down. By this system it's all rigged

Same. I was also a liberal once and I still have a lot of liberal friends. Most of them are genuinely good people that are just deeply misguided.

In Canada the Liberals are like US Republicans in that they only care about their own self-interests whereas Conservative are like Democrats in the US in that they care about everyone and want the best for the people that live there.

Same experience! I think it comes with growth and success. Once you’re forced to traverse some of the systems you had so much faith in and realize how corrupt and counter intuitive they are you start to question everything. Or try helping someone get a leg up and see how fundamentally broken some of these programs are you just feel sick. Once you start pulling on that thread you can’t unsee it.

I've found that a lot of people with a liberal mindset are highly susceptible to a toxic form of empathy that has them accepting and validating things they shouldn't be accepting or validating. Empathy has to be balanced with truth and justice. You can't just validate someone's delusions or give someone a pass on their law-breaking because you empathize with their situation. That's not going to help them in the long run.
