Please do more research into this. The death count isn’t stuck. The health ministry is known for throwing numbers at the wall and seeing what sticks. Even Amnesty International has documented this in front of the UN. It’s really upsetting and impacts your credibility when you continue to speak on something you have such surface level knowledge on. Please dive into it more. I’d personally recommend looking at Steven Bonell’s public Obsidian research as a baseline of where to begin.

What’s also scary is that western governments are saying to their people who are largely against this that they will continue to support this gside becaus it makes them money. They no longer care about optics or “western democracy”ideals. They will use the same violence against their own people to maintain their power.

Yeah the figure of 400k+ is much more believable. How many were/are missing under rubble, some of which has been bulldozed? This is before the starvation deaths (and food aid station shootings) have started to be counted.
