There is no reason for Cambodia, a small country with a small army, few weapons, and a small economy, to attack and provoke a conflict with Thailand, a large country with many troops, weapons, and even F16s, and a large economy. Unless there is a violation from Thailand first, Cambodia is only defending its territory along the border defined by the 1907 Franco-Siamese Treaty. So why is Thailand afraid to go to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to settle the border dispute? No matter which side wins, the nationalists cannot be blamed because it is a decision of international jurisdiction.

As a Cambodian, we do appreciate everyone who are willing to listen from our side and not just Thai media alone. We understand the consequences of having war and we had been through that enuf. And it is totally impossible that we started the fire first, THAI media are trying to make us the villain by their twisted story. Please look at the action not just words, then you can choose to trust who. Recently THAI has also declined to the ceasefire from the UN which is clearly shown who wanted to start the war.
