I produced extra during the newborn phase but after about 6-8 wks, I was an exact producer. I was obsessive about pumping and freezing in the first 6 weeks and I’m glad I was - I ended up with a kidney stone and needed surgery when my son was 12 wks. I spent 3 days in the hospital and was told I needed to pump and dump an additional 24 hrs due to anesthesia. Blew through my entire stash, but I was super thankful I had one.

I actually over produced and it was not only miserable but my child refused all bottles. So i went with the hype got a deep freezer had almost 800 oz frozen with nothing to do with it. Wasted time and energy pumping because i thought i needed this stash. Its so sad how much the internet tells us what we need postpartum but we dont.

My baby is five weeks old and I am struggling with feeling like I don’t produce enough. Thank you for this. I am accepting that I am a just enougher.

Can you talk about this a little more? I’ve been this person the entire time, for a Mama who is a Military Mom I’ve almost made it a year 😅, by the skin of my teeth and the stress has been insane. Especially, since daycare feeds her 2-3X more than we give her on our days home.

Makes me feel better about the 20oz I have for my 6m old. I pump just a couple extra ounces a day and it offsets when my supply gets low when I’m on my period

The Elvie Curve was such a game changer. The Haakaa was fine until the baby nursing on the other side kicked it off 😭

I breastfed my first 6 babies for years. My 7th was a 27 weeker preemie and I struggled so bad worh pumping! I ended up using a SNS - once he was a year we quit formula and went exclusively breastfed and kept going until he self weaned. Pumping is so hard for some moms!

Wow; I didn’t know that was a thing. Can you do another video on what an exact producer is and why it happens?

The demand causes the supply. And pumping ain’t as efficient as a baby. Passive collection is never going to make more supply.

Can we talk about the companies that have women influencers who over produce sell their products 🫠

I don't understand the people who have multiple chest freezers of breastmilk stored. Just why?? Your baby will never drink that much.

I gave my stash to my mom to keep in her chest freezer and immediately stopped producing extra and had to take it back 😂

I have a question, I’m having twins and I would like a vaginal birth again if they’re both head down. But my NP is saying a c section is still safer. Is it bad to ask for a vaginal if both are head down?

What’s the thought process on not actively pumping while breastfeeding? Even if you replace a feed with pumped milk, you just passively collect?

My son is almost 18; I didn’t have those… I used to use the bottle cap shoved in my bra while I breast fed him 🤣🤣 also. I really struggled to produce enough and i wish I had more people talking about it while I was struggling to normalize it for me. Again. Almost 18 yrs ago. A lot has changed around here. lol

I thought I would produce a ton bc I was told that having larger breasts meant more milk… nope 🙂↔️does. Not. Correlate.

I over produced badly for the first 18 weeks to the point I had to get medication to try and lower my supply it was so painful it was nice to have some extra but having to express or pump every hour was so much harder
