I hope I 💀 before 7/25 :
I also wonder if people have even seen both Dark Phoenix and The Last Stand, both poor adaptations of the Phoenix saga. Or if they’ve seen Superman III or Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. Let’s also not forget the horrible way Fox did Galactus in the 2007 F4: Rise of the Silver Surfer movie. Or even the way Fox handled Cyclops and basically made him a side character.

I'm getting up there in years and I love all the nerd content we are getting. Comic book movies?! More Star Wars?! We are drowning in options that younger me would do seriously questionable things for. I would gladly consume the "worst" nerd media than have none at all

I agree that back then, when we had bad superhero movies They were BAD movies. But the thing is that the quantity of these bad superhero movies has drastically increased since then. i mean, in the past 5 years, we had over 20 superhero project up until Captain America brave new world and of all those projects only 4 of them were actually good If we're being generous, the others were either made or really bad. Don't get me wrong back then there were some BAD movies being maid, but for every bad movie, there was a good to decent movie in response, and there were a few years gap between them. but the fact that we have over SO many comic book projects and only a handful of them were actually good is just absolutely insane...

they have a hard time with the word "adaptation" People look at that word and think "comic to screen, same story same outfits" but Suits look at it and think "same characters, but original story"

“Mcus dead! Mcus back!” My brother or sister every single project the mcu has released since endgame is AT MINIMUM a passing film that succeeds at what it attempted to do. You don’t know what a bad movie is because you only watch the 4 popular movies every year.
