It’s probably somewhere in the middle, but to me it’s more of a “long-boy tube burg”… but that’s not good for SEO. Recipe below. 🇬🇷🫱🏻🫲🏼🇺🇸 Serves: 6–8 Ingredients 1 pound ground beef (80/20 recommended) 1 small onion, finely diced 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles 1/4 cup burger sauce (see below) 1 cup shredded or chopped American cheese (about 5–6 slices) Kosher Salt & Black Pep, to taste 2–3 cups shredded iceberg or romaine lettuce (for serving) Burger Sauce: 1/4 cup mayo 1 Tbsp ketchup 1 Tbsp mustard 1 Tbsp pickle juice 1 tsp garlic powder Pastry: 10–12 sheets phyllo dough, thawed 1/2 cup melted butter or neutral oil 1 Tbsp sesame seeds Technique 1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned, then drain excess fat. 2. Stir in pickles and burger sauce, simmering for 2–3 minutes until thick, then let cool. 3. Stir in American cheese and season to taste with salt and pepper. 4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). 5. Lay out 2 phyllo sheets, overlapping slightly to form a rectangle; brush with butter, then layer 2 more sheets and brush again. 6. Spoon filling along the long edge, roll tightly, and coil the first roll into the center of a greased cast iron pan; repeat with remaining sheets and filling, forming a spiral. 7. Brush top with butter and bake uncovered for 25 minutes, then remove, brush again, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake an additional 20–25 minutes until golden and crispy. 8.
