To clarify its already very clear in contract case law that if the authority gives directive to a subortinate to sign a particular contract on their behalf using their signature that is a legally binding and valid contract. Usually this was done with a stamp but currently in the digital age autopen is the equivalent. As long as a directive is given for the act its watertight.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned but autopen has been used since the 1950s, used to sign a law in 2011. Google is a wonderous thing. For people who want to give the president all the power they sure are worried about presidents having too much power…
