To be fair, I was once manipulated by a man who I had feelings for. It took me 6 months of only texting to realize. Once I told the gf I apologized profusely and I will never forgive myself for not realizing sooner. The gf is the victim. I’m just mad I didn’t notice the signs sooner.

He may have been a liar, but that's literally the playbook of cheaters - they lead you on saying they'll leave their partner, then don't. 3 years? She let herself be "manipulated." If she really felt he was her soul mate, him being single should have been the stipulation she stuck by before doing ANYTHING with him (though I think it's pretty sleazy to date someone your friend or family has dated).
