It’s never like 3 images. They always have like multiple industrial pcs in their basement dedicated solely to absolute evil

it's because they don't JUST have cp. a lot of the times, the CP is hidden in much longer, seemingly innocuous, videos toake it more difficult to find. so all of those very long videos with a little bit of CP on them get classified as CP. so the perpetrator technically has a ton of terrabytes of it

i think its because the volume of images makes it easier to track down. like if someone only has 1 or 2 images, they might be overlooked by the police because they discovered cp Randy with his 8 hours of 4k 120fps footage

That was an insane way to start the video… I do however agree. Why is it SO much??

it’s like yes you absolutely shouldn’t have it but what could you even be doing with THAT much? it’s illogical to have that much of ANYTHING?????

1 TB is 1000 GB. An hour of HD adult content in video format is roughly 1.5-3 GB. so roughly 450hours in 1TB so 10TB is well over 2k hours. ungodly is an understatement.

The reason it’s always these big collectors that get caught is cause they’re collecting tons of material and leave an internet trail behind that gets them caught. The people that only have a couple images will likely never get caught with them

not so fun fact, they classify it in "images" and the videos they find are actually considered a certain number of images depending on length of the vids, so a five minute video is roughly 1500 images. that's why there's never a "normal amount"

its a trading system. you can't get more unless you have it. you have yo prove you have it to get more. if you want worse CSAM you have to prove you have bad CSAM.

i assumed it’s peer peer sharing cuz you can’t post it. so they just send each other their whole collection so it just ends up being a shit ton cuz nobody can realistically look at a terabyte of videos much less 50

I've heard people claim that the FBI intentionally releases the information using deceptive wording. "We seized hard drives with 10 TB of files containing illegal stuff today" but the hard drives have 10 TB of unrelated files and also some illegal stuff but technically that's what they said.

I've heard it's because they have to consider the entire storage as CP. So if you find one video on a 2tb hard drive, they just consider it all as CP. Don't quote me on this though

Big Bread Warrior :
So there’s actually kind of an interesting reason to this. When CP is distributed online, it will usually be about a dozen images along with 1000s of other filler images making it harder to identify and make it clear that there is CP in the folder. But you can’t just save the 12 images that you want you need to have all of it so it’s harder to track. So when someone has multiple terabytes, it’s probably only about a gigabyte or more of it and the rest of it all filler.

Probably a survivorship bias the more they have the easier it is to catch and also the more it would be talked about. This would also mean that there is a large amount of them we haven’t caught.
