Also they mostly aren’t smart enough to pick up on the subtext and themes. Unless it comes out at yells it in plain text dialogue they won’t understand, and even then it’s a toss up. These are people who got mad a RATM for “getting political.”

I don’t see a lot of queer themes in the movie and I ship huntrex thruple. I think you could say the girls are bi but besides that I don’t know what you mean also most my republican friends who have watched it don’t care so much about the rase of a. Actor but the trade of a character. The characters are all Korean so why wouldn’t the voice actors. I think the reason it didn’t get any push back is it adjectively a good movie it’s not pushing anything o could tell as a more moderate person and is just a good movie with Korean fork lore it’s the same reason so many Korean and Japanese animation are super popular with moderate republicans

I think a lot of the metaphor within KPDH goes over their heads as well. Superman 2025 is pretty loud about its messaging. but god. I had not thought of this. 😭 you're very right.

I would say that it's you guys self inserting especially as the movie goes out of there way to show that the girls are definitely straight as hell, I mean Zoey was practically drooling over a man, I get that you can think about it with marginalized but most conservative don't think that way, they think oh I was a nerd or a outcast.

I thought it was because the movie was actually good and didn’t try and force or push any of those narratives but just did it organically and in a badass way that didn’t lead to eye rolls.

marginalized and queer narrative? what are you on about? If that's what you see and feel from it, cool. But the reason KPDH is so popular is because it works in all aspects of society. Being accepted for who you are, not having to put on a mask. preserving through adversity. honoring your friends. forgiveness. these work for all aspects all creeds all genders.

Nothing exemplifies this point more than the out of this movie of artist drawing Huntrix but from their own country. I've probably seen about 3 dozen of those videos. The only people I've seen get any sort of flack for how the characters look are non-asian, non-white creators

I thought theme was just being true to yourself. Like when girls first thought the song takedown would be cool but then all agreed that it’s not who they are. Plus the song golden represents them pretty well. Am I missing something? I thought the movie was great
