@ilyriamusic: Give me all the travel tips for plus size girls please 🙏. I'm already worried about overpacking. #plussize #travel #traveltips #travelhacks #europetravel
Avoid public transportation from the airport to the hotel. Uber or taxi instead if you can. Pushing your luggage up and down the stairs is brutal. Plus, some streets and sidewalks are tiny so navigating in a new place, plus being hot, worrying about your belongings, AND trying not bump into people is just too much.

I used vacuum bags this last trip and it was so nice! I got the bags with the vacuum off Amazon.

Pack a full extra outfit in your carryon, spare bra and underwear included. I also carry an outfit in my backpack on daily sightseeing now, after a tour company left my bags in the hallway when transferring hotels. I showed up to the hotel at the end of a long day with NOTHING and all the stores were closing. I ran and got a tshirt to sleep in from an H&M but had to rewear my gross sweaty clothes the next day 😭😭😭

I went in June. Bring a hand held fan! And comfy shoes. And dresses with bike shorts underneath are a game changer. Much less to pack.

I took a travel size spray deodorant for my fanny pack to refresh. Also some wet wipes. So much walking / sweating and the bike short back is great BUT lock in the moisture / heat so I was always swampy. refreshing at bathroom stops helped so much

Skip shopping - you will not find clothes in sizes over L, rarely XL.

I would say make sure you have a carryon bag filled with clothes, because depending on where you’re traveling, should your checked luggage get lost, you may have a hard time finding stores that cater to plus size individuals.

I just came back from Greece and Italy, linen pants are your best friends. Any type of jean pant will be torture. Also for shoes I wore Chaco sandals! They were the best climbing all the steps in Greece and they never hurt my feet. I also wore dresses to keep cool with some light biker shorts under. Also make sure you have potable fan

Be prepared everything is smaller/narrower there: toilets, elevators, stairwells, etc. Bring enough clothes because larger sizes can be harder to find. Also bring some tissue for the public toilets since places may not have it. Also you might need a coin to use the public restroom.

Reasurch on what it’s going to take for you to get from the airport to the front door of where you will be staying. My cousin had to walk a mile and 1/2 from where the taxi left her. Hills and stairs.

chub rub shorts, socks that go above the ankle shoe line, compression socks, folded up bx they have basically glasses cleaner wipes in some toilets, and start taking the stairs... everywhere! pack a carryon luggage even if you have to check it in and start lifting. and have the best time💖

There won’t be AC or fans in a lot of the places you stay so a battery powered fan is a great idea!

I used the vacuum seal bags that you roll to get the air out instead of a vacuum. Since it's extremely difficult to find plus-size clothing, you can bring more items. It also keeps dirty clothes separate from clean ones if you dont have access to laundry, and it saves space for souvenirs!

Plus size and travel to Europe a lot. Compression cubes for packing, portable fan (both hand held, and for room) loose flowy clothes as most places have “light” AC if at all. Sneakers. Have the best time!

Just wear tennis shoes. Forget heels. Maybe platforms but cobbblestone streets are killer on your feet

I just came back and this was tough but not impossible. I took 3 linen pants,2 shorts, 8 shirts/blouses and one dress, oh and a bathing suit! All was stuff that I could mix and match. I was able to wash at 2 of the places I stayed. I also took and old pijama and got rid of that and a couple of underwear to make space for souvenirs. All in a carry on luggage for a 10 day trip and it worked out. Also, as a plus size girly, Dr. Scholls shoes were a total win for all of the walking and the cobble stones.

My first trip to Europe resulted in swollen legs and feet. Move around on the plane. Wear compression socks. Take diuretics with you if prescribed . I had to buy a new pair of sneakers because I couldn’t fit in the ones I packed. Good luck ! 👍
