I don’t get how someone can hate an entire genre, I understand mildly disliking it but all genres are so vast and complex, you can find various different styles and subgenres of the same music in just one genre that may appeal to you if you actually explore past surface level music. though to be fair I’m able to enjoy a lot of different music so I may not be the right messenger lol

i’m a white neurodivergent queer and idk why i don’t like rap, i always try to listen to it bc i have a lot of friends who like it but i can never get into it. same with pop and kpop and such. there’s so particular reason. i like rock just like how some people don’t, not liking a genre of music is ok :)
