Some of you people in the comments are so weird. It’s extremely common for the first boy to be named after the father or grandfather. And in this case there are 2 really cool nickname options. It’s not like she is being forced to do this. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe she is also honoured to give this name to her son?

once the baby is born, you will come up with your nickname for him. That’s something I feel like you can’t plan but it’ll come to you naturally. Never thought I’d call my son doodle, but I do and my grandson is Papa doodle. Don’t know why.
