I feel like it’s because able bodied people often just like? Don’t get it? Like it never occurs to them how harrowing the actual reality of being disabled is. Something being crippling has never been a casual way to describe something and has always been serious but when ppl use it in regards to a person it’s ALWAYS casual. Which is so dismissive and ignorant.
