@cockpitking: Fly-by-wire: protection or control? Airbus and Boeing both use fly-by-wire systems—but their logic couldn’t be more different. Airbus builds in hard limits. Pitch too high? Bank too far? Overspeed? The aircraft says no. Its laws won’t let you break the rules, even if you try. That’s envelope protection. Boeing gives you tools, then gets out of the way. You can pull, bank, stall if you need to. The system trusts the pilot to know better—or take the risk. Same result: safety. But two opposite paths to get there. So which would you rather fly? #aviation #avgeek #aviationphotography #aviationlovers #airplane #planespotting #boeing #instagramaviation #pilot #plane #aircraft #airport #instaaviation #aviationdaily #travel #airbus #instaplane #pilotlife #aviationgeek #flying #planespotter #flight #planes #flybywire #aircraftsystems #pilotauthority
yeah, Boeing let's the pilot turn off fuel to engines while taking off 😅

I’ll fly an Airbus over Boeing any day. Reference, I’m a career pilot of 39 years.

All these comments point to the fact... Pilots ain't Pilots any more. Boeing built as system to 'Assist' pilots. Airbus built one to do the hard yards, irrelevant of what the Captain says. So the problem now, is Pilots, listening to this. Give me a Boeing and an old school trained pilot to fly it any day of the week.

Theres no argument here only numbers. Count how many air crashes we had last couple years and see what brand they were. youll get ur answer.

All this until Boeing introduced MCAS (Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System), a flawed system that completely overrid the inputs of the pilots without them even knowing its existence, that led in to two preventable tragedies.

most crashes are due to pilot error so airbus all the way

as a computer engineer, this amount of trust on a computer is anxiety inducing. One glitch and everything falls apart.A single bug,a variable, inaccurate register size,an instruction taking 2 cycles instead of 1.Phew they must have one hell of a testing system.

Airbus is better for the pilot today. Boeing was good for the pilots years back. Much respect to all pilots but technology must help us. ALS and TCAS has made flying safer. Why struggle with ailerons, rudder and elevators when the systems can help?
