Did that straw get run through the chopper? Seems like with rotary’s it’s hard to get it to bale nice in small squares even when you don’t chop it

Mint looking 2366 man 💪 we have a 2377 which replaced the 2366 and also have a 2388. Great machines! Do very good jobs in cereal crops!

multiple reasons to do it the way you are doing it. fall alfalfa after wheat no chemical carryover. usually don't get super heavy rains in the fall versus spring to get it established. like you said first crop is almost like a normal crop of older hay. and I think Alfalfa gets established better in wheat stubble or soybean stubble then corn stocks because it has less chance of getting buried in the residue. although, last year ours did not turn out because of lack of rainfall here in extreme East Central Iowa
