@nowagee: Alligator Alcatraz is still a fitting name. All US prisons represent ongoing campaigns meant to exploit black, brown, indigenous and proletarian Americans. Alcatraz sits on stolen, sacred, ingenious land and now ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ represents the country’s current campaign against black brown and indigenous Americans. Accepting your history means understanding that the U.S. cannot fix anything evil when it itself is drenched in genocide. We have to collectively choose something better. We have to see past a constitution or the “law of the land”. We have to create what we collectively deserve by any means necessary. Do not let them take you…do not let them take anyone! The constitution was never meant to save you.
