Another thing nobody touches on: in party houses, fights happen! She could’ve assumed any noise was something like that going on w her friends that she also could’ve easily assumed were all still awake/partying. She saw him, he saw her, he didn’t threaten her. Why on earth would she assume he just murdered her friends?! No sane person would!

I was a little shocked initially but then u step back and think they were drunk, naive, just no common sense st thst age. They were sheltered and lived in a very, very safe town! No way could they have known!! Not their fault at all!❤️❤️❤️

I absolutely agree. you don't think things like that would really happen to you or those close to you. also drinking would make you make try to make sense of things.

Yep this is exactly what I’ve thought all along. Everyone’s so stuck on “if I were Dylan, I would have done this this and this”. When no, no one has any idea what they’d actually do unless they were in this situation. We would all try to rationalize.

She woke up, middle of the night after drinking and was disoriented. She likely heard things, convinced herself it was nothing. That they were messing around. That he was someone her roommates had over. She likely was reaching out to them for reassurance but was convincing herself she was okay. She was overreacting that she was drunk and imagining things. We will neve fully know. But we DO know she had no part in this. If she stepped out of that room, if he wasnt so tired if she called out, she would likely have been another victim

And everyone’s trauma response being fight flight or freeze. Hers seems to be freeze and quite honestly that saved her life. You never know how you react to severe trauma and what your brain will do til it happens. Plus woken out of dead drunk slumber you’re confused and it takes a while to like come to reality
