Hi Doctor, I was prescribed Cephalexin 500 mg (oral, 3x daily) and Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment 0.5% (topical) for a stye. I started both last Saturday and will finish this Saturday (7-day course). I’m currently in Europe traveling, and my stye has visibly gone down. I wanted to ask: When is it safe to start wearing mascara again, especially considering that I’ve purchased a brand-new mascara and won’t reuse my old one? Would you recommend waiting a bit longer after the treatment finishes, or is Sunday (the day after the last dose) okay if the swelling and redness are gone?
