My grandfather was a sniper in the Canadian forces. He managed to survive the entire war, even after spending a day after being blown up in no man's land. He had to lie still on the bodies until it was dark enough to crawl back into his trench. 😕

it’s 1918 and these American soldiers seem quite happy they look like they’re on a troop ship headed back home with that feeling and I know it well we made it! They’re all gone now but they will live forever every time we salute the flag hold our hand over our heart we think of these brave soldiers from world war one World War II right up to today’s present conflicts. when you’re sworn in and you put that uniform on you never know where they’re going to send you . 🇺🇸
