We stopped calling them things about 40 years ago when thongs became the term for a specific type of women’s underwear

they used to be called flip flops which included several types of similar footwear. then along came gen z who decided 2 genders were definitely not enough, and the footwear got jealous and demanded we call them something other than what they really were. Then the working for a living became a bad word and everyone became an influencer... then everything started to fall apart.... but I digress... why is it illegal?

Its not illegal, but there is quarantine rules in place in 6 counties to protect the bulb growing farmers. This is because of a fungus called onion white rot. Its not only onions, its garlic, leeks and chives.

Just regarding the Booms, I saw another TT that mentioned the booms in relation to the large cracks in the ground in some of the farming areas of Idaho. Have ya heard anything like that?

Especially in the Treasure Valley onion seed production is a large industry, flowering onions in your garden could cross pollinate with the commercial onion seed crop out in the field, ruining that crop, farmer gets no bucks!!

The only cultural name that I will adhere to like super glue is that Americans call those shoes flip-flops. I know the Australians call them thongs, but I don't care. I need us to stick to flip-flops because the world is wild right now. 😅
