@lailaspantry: we spent two days in Kusadasi where we went to the most wonderful beaches and checked out the national park (which by the way is stunning). I knew I wanted to eat a whole grilled fish while we were on the coast as it’s a regional specialty and I figured it wouldn’t be as good in Cappadocia where we were going next. The fish is super fresh over here, and they’re especially known for their sea bass and sea bream. Sea bass is a flakier, lighter fish while sea bream is a meatier firmer fish. While bream is better suited for grilling, I prefer the lighter flakier texture of bass. It’s harder to grill, but I figured if they do it well, that’s how I know it’s really good! And WOW!! They delivered mega. It was perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of salty to bring out the natural sweetness of the fish. The skin was crispy and completely intact, and the flesh was juicy and had that lovely glassy sheen to it- a marker of perfectly cooked fish. Flaky and melt in your mouth, there was no squeaky rubber feeling. Honestly there’s nothing better than perfectly cooked white fish. Definitely recommend this place! It’s called Fish Fish Balikçi 😋 #lailaspantry #turkey #turkiye #turkeyroadtrip #turkishfood #turkeyfood #roadtrip #foodtour #turkishseafood #seabass #grilledfish #wholefish #kusadasi #fethiye #izmir
