our landlordtold us in the beginning we couldn't mount our tvs. we were ok with that. i asked our previous landlord to do a final walk thru even though he was there the week before. we were going thru one of the bedrooms when he said well it looks like you didnt listen when I told yall I didnt want any tvs mounted. I told him that we didnt and that it was like that when we moved in. he asked if I had documentation. I went through my pictures found them. he then asked if It had the date to prove when it was taken. I pulled the details of the picture but to double down I scrolled over to a picture that showed a newspaper date and the holes in the same picture. lol he didn't find me amusing. I think he thought he was going to rake in the money. the thing is he would come to our house every month to change the air filters. he knew we didn't have tvs mounted.

The people here complaining need to understand that a small simple jar of compound is like $6. tenants can easily buy it and with a finger cover the holes. a little sanding with the bigger holes.

If they lived here for one year or less, yes I could understand this. for multiple years- this is normal wear and tear. You're going to have to do work in between tenants on every apartment. If you don't want to touch up work then you can find another business

Do not do what this landlord is doing. If you come up against somebody like me, I will win more money. I've done it twice. 2 years for carpet doesn't matter how bad it is. As long as the hole is the small as a quarter doesn't matter. Normal Wear and tear doesn't matter.
