In response to your video though I would say that the movie was made for people already familiar with superman that don't need to see a will they wont they or origin story. The things you wanted make sense for a standalone movie or and origin story of which this is neither.

I love this movie. its done so well and so true to superman. it brings so many emotions and levels of hope. seeing superman be the protector and vulnerable seems the most realistic way a superman would be if there really was a superman. lex being driven by envy and expressing it was perfect. I cant understand how anyone wouldnt like it or be disappointed by it if they understand superman story at all, but thats to each there own. I dont like other movies that millions others do. we all have our opinions. give it another chance

people fully forget that the original "keyboard monkeys" that spreaded hate was the people hating on snyders dc movies. their hate online literally intimidated WB to "course correct" all their superhero movies in production to make them all bright and colorful with jokes. and the dc movies never recovere from it resulting in the reboot we are now seing being produced. snyderbros are ofc firing equally hard back, but it all started with the hate agaisnt snyder and his movies.

On the "point" people were bringing up about it not being Newcomers, I brought my friend, who has never seen a Superman product in his life to the movie and he did enjoy it, its a good movie for people who aren't Superman Fans, and an even Better movie for those who are.

I said I loved the film and that some Gunn fans are being just as toxic and so many people are arguing, its both funny and sad to see. It’s sadly a bigger issue in general where whenever someone doesn’t completely love something, or shows their criticism of it. Instead of trying to convince them otherwise and have good conversation, they instead just insult the person. And it gets you nowhere. Most people don’t want to have a conversation about it and just what to hate when you don’t have the same opinion as them
