One of my main issues is when she responds it’s never to what people are actually critiquing her about and it feels like being gas lit. Also she gets very defensive and that comes across like the establishment dems who we say never listen. She is definitely slowly becoming the politicians she once was fighting against.

I think what bothers me the most is the fact that the Left tends to hurt itself, a lot. Regardless of this vote, AOC is one of our closest allies. And you have leftists calling for her to be primaried and comparing her to Harris. Let’s get it together guys.

Aoc is not just some pop culture personality. She is representative of the body politic and her speech helps form our national politics. When she fails at these important distinctions and perpetuates a myth around a nation she does great harm and we should hold her accountable and demand change.

What pmo is that she is clearly trying to make the morally correct decision and people refuse to acknowledge that there is a threat to innocent civilians without the iron dome. That amendment specifically being target at defensive(even though it’s part of the offensive strategy) is a clear sign that this is a bad faith move meant to paint a select few who vote yes to the amendment as evil. Disagree with her all you want but this was probably the best move for her and the pro palestine movement as a whole

One question that isn't being asked is why the DSA rallied their members behind MTG instead of introducing their own amendment, none of this would be a controversy otherwise. Not that AOC hasn't already tarnished her record

I haven’t heard a legitimate reason why the bill itself was bad. “Doesn’t do enough” is a terrible reason not to seek progress. That’s like voting against medicine price caps because doctor’s visits will still be too expensive. If there was something in the bill that was legit bad, I haven’t heard anyone mention it.
