The Emmy’s, The Academy and other award bodies have always been racist and hella sus when it comes to recognizing and awarding Black and POC people their flowers. I’m not even going to be surprised! Not going to let it ruin the show for me though

You're totally right and it's so unfair because Jacob is an incredible Louis. Sadly as per the books TVL is like a soft reboot and Louis is never the main character again. I think they did something really smart though and it's end of season 2 Louis is, to me, like book Louis after Merrick and from that point on in the books he embraces vampirism and his powers and I feel that that Louis coupled with Lestat is a great combo. Also we can then skip some weird shit from the books (especially Memnoch and Merrick)
