Let her wear what she wants and do not introduce her to any social medias. My oldest son is 11.5, multi-sport athlete, academically gifted, zero access to social media etc. Two years ago he was wearing a Reebok shirt and a kid tried to say “Who wears Reebok even?” and my son said “Obviously me, isn’t it kind of weird that you care what I’m wearing?” And that sums him up. He doesn’t care about trends, he actually doesn’t even know trends lol. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Little kids don’t usually care about that. My 11yo ASKED for Walmart sneakers and my response was “what if someone makes fun of you for having Walmart shoes?” And she told me “mom kids in my generation don’t care about stuff like that like when you were a kid” 🤣 so she got her pink Walmart shoes and rocks the shit out of them (I’ll never forget being made fun of for my Payless shoes as a kid though😒)
