I hate it. It's nice they can wear their costumes more than 1 night, however, Halloween night has no meaning. in the day, it was either do it 1 night or not at all, you had to work for your haul!

Naa trunk or treat was a little side thing, you either do the day before Halloween or while it’s still early on Halloween, then you go trick or treating. I hate how everyone made truck or treating the only thing on Halloween

hot take. people only like kids when they want them to come to their undecorared house with a bowl outside. Everyone is way to okay with plastering ring cam footage of literal children online. idc if its good or bad. also people every single day complain about children. People made a safe spot for kids to go where they are wanted and then everyone complains because no one came to their door 🤣

Here me out when we were kids, a decorated house meant they were participating in Halloween. A not decorated house means they’re not. Most of the new adults can’t afford to decorate, and that’s assuming they can even afford houses. Yes trunk or treat is part of the problem but that’s not the whole story 👏👏

trunk or treating has been a thing for years but it was mainly for younger kids and children with disabilities. the popularity or traditional trick or treating hasn’t changed everyone just goes to certain neighborhoods every year

To be honest…it was way before that.You don’t have many home owners now days compared to back in the day.How the hell do you treat or treat on a block full of apartments?So now everyone has to go to the suburbs,which can be a bit much if you don’t have the transportation

Honestly I would argue that it's not even the trunk or treat thing that ruined Halloween. It was the paranoid Karen mom's that are convinced every door, bush and slightly-too-dim light pole has a child snatcher hiding behind it waiting to steal their kid, and that all the candy has rat poison and razor blades in it.

Growing up I was forced to Truck or Treat at churches because my grandma hated Halloween and thought we would get poison going house to house so I was always jealous of other kids doing normal Trick or Treating. Still hate Truck or Treating to this day.

Trunk or treat should only be for babies and toddlers who can’t walk long distances. The problem is, it turned into a replacement for trick or treating for everyone.

my dad takes my sister to every trunk or treat AND takes her trick or treating on Halloween. she has A LOT of candy by the end of it. sometimes I even go with her to both the trunk or treats and the regular trick or treating.
