I’ve heard this only happens because your brain thought it was so boring routine that it didn’t bother saving the memories to long term storage. So you don’t remember driving but most people are alert and following laws while actively driving.

One time I was in hypnosis and I drive through a red light. A car coming in the opposite direction beeped at me and slammed on their breaks. I angrily beeped back because I was still under hypnosis and kept driving. But I looked back and saw the red light and I was like 😳😳😳

I hate to say it but this is exactly how babies get left in cars on accident- people get into a routine and get highway blindness. it's a terrible terrible tragedy.
