housing, the reason people can't get into a new home is because they are over inflated! in Florida,between cost of homes, property tax, and homeowners ins, the average person won't qualify for a mortgage, even if the rates are low. you can always refi a home if you buy it right, but you can't if you're upside down. its called inflation , that's why the rates haven't come down

If you reduce the interest by just a small percentage the price of the house will escalate. You say there is a glut but a short time back there was a shortage of houses causing homes to escalate in price. So which is it you can’t have both a shortage or over abundance? If grump stops tariff threats then they’d be able to bring down rates. Grump brought this on itself. Also, the speaker should focus on their job and pass laws that help make housing more affordable.

Lower the interest rates to afford housing. If they lower the interest rates then the prices of homes are going to soar like never before. So are you better off buying a 400k home at 6% and possibly refinancing later if needed or buying that same home at 550k or 600k at 3%
