What?? Always Medela mama… but as a NIUC mom… I couldn’t have fed any of my babies without the bottles, etc? My kids literally can’t po eat. It got through an NG/GT… it would certainly make me move over to someone else…

Have they said that’s why they’re not producing them? I just got an email about the next version of the Pump in Style, I would guess they’re just focusing more on pumps, less on bottles.

So wild to me medela bottles was the way we got our ex 28 weeker twins out of the nicu in 2021! I exclusively expressed for both my twins because they couldn’t latch at all and after 113 days in hospital we wanted those babies home!

I had to pump after each feeding to keep up with my child. If you had a low weight baby and needed to double or triple feed, pumping is essential

I used Medela pumps with my babies, and standard baby bottles, like Gerber or even the Walmart brand fit on there just fine.

Not to mention all the hospitals having to switch now! The hospital I gave birth in was an exclusive medela pump (with bottles) maternity ward. They will have to switch soon then.

I pump and donate to the hospital and they gave me a medela pump cause they use the bottles and stuff at the hospital… so now the hospital have to find new bottles for babies.. medela have to many bottles and teats for spesial feeds to🥹🥹

That’s so upsetting! I had to pump with both my kiddos because I was not well supported with awareness surrounding tongue ties and skin to skin latching was so painful for me and frustrating for my babies. I loved using the Medela storage bottles so much as well as their manual pump when I have clogs so if they stop producing bottles or pump parts in general, I and I’m sure many other moms who used Medela products will be very disappointed and upset! I’m done with my pumping journey but I want 1 more kid, down the line, and planning to do some sort of mixed situation, latching and pumping and yes, PUMPING IS TOTALLY BREASTFEEDING! It’s upsetting that big companies doesn’t see the effort, time, energy, commitment to pump and clean pump parts. And pumps aren’t cheap either but we’re out here buying em so I honestly think that as long as there’s a demand then companies should be open to selling them. I mean I would if I were them. But this news was ughh 😣😔 Thank you for sharing this though

why would we pump if we can’t then feed that to baby? I think they are saying it’s about supporting breastfeeding but it’s not.. it’s about the high prices of manufacturing and that’s not their main earner.

I see your point I do have a madela wearable pump and put the milk into storage bags and not bottles. I use the evenflo bottles ones in a while as my baby is mainly breastfed. However the little madela bottles came out super useful at the hospital when I would pump there directly into the little bottles.
