Im from Alaska. Ive worked at fish packing plants. Our fish are BLAST FROZEN, killing parasites and it is then sushi grade, being sold to Asian markets, because their standards are higher than here in America. The fish with parasites that are still alive are the tank grown salmon, also known as "Atlantic" salmon. Costco does sell Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon, but its very expensive, but WORTH IT because we are required to blast freeze our fish, not only does this lock in the nutrients & protein structures of the meat, but at also kills the parasites. This salmon here is clearly "Atlantic" tank grown

This is why you cook or freeze food. This is wild caught. Parasites are in wild caught food. Same with finding bugs in organic produce. Sorry!! But that’s how the natural world is!

I always freeze the fish before I cook it. I was told from a butcher years ago. All fish has parasites 😩

salmon you're supposed to do Farm Raised for parasite free, they will not use wild caught in sushi because of this

All wild fish has parasites. Go get some never frozen cod. Same thing. Hence why you cook it to kill them. Don’t recommend eating it raw. This is actually why the Japanese serve wasabi with raw sushi is to chemically kill those exact parasites
