I had a bf who looked like he was from somewhere in the Middle East. He had black hair, brown eyes and dark skin. He was Irish/Italian. His son had blonde hair and bright blue eyes and super fair skin. Genetics are crazy.

I have red hair so the red tint to my son’s hair everyone says is me but my husband has a red tint to his beard before the grey started showing and his oldest son who is 23 and not mine had a red tint as a toddler too and now is dirty blonde.

My oldest has dirty blonde hair and ocean blue eyes. He got both from his paternal grandma. People joke all the time that he's not mine or my husband's because we have dark hair and he has brown eyes (should have inherited dominant gene but blue became dominant in the entire rest of the bloodline🤣)

My youngest had red hair from birth until she was around 1. I have brown hair/brown eyes and so does dad. I got so sick of people saying her father must have red hair blue eyes (her eyes change from blue to green to silver) that I started saying her father was African American….the look I would get was priceless

I’m blonde and my husband is brunette. We have a blonde, redhead, and a brunette. It confuses people so badly when we’re all together. We’ve been answering questions about her hair for 13 years now. “Red hair is a genetic mutation that both parents have to have and we both do.” That’s my go-to phrase. There was one time where someone was particularly rude and asked, “like, I mean, is she even yours” and I answered, “well, ever since the kidnapping situation, we consider her ours” and walked away.

I hear this all the time with my youngest! I have blonde hair and my husband has dark brown but our youngest has red hair. “Are you sure she’s yalls?” 🙄😒

my mom was born with blonde hair and hazel eyes while my aunts have dark hair and eyes same parents but my oldest has naturally ombre hair and looks like my MIL my middle looks like their dad with his curly hair and my youngest lookes like my mom with hazel eyes and lighter skin

I’m strawberry blonde… so a lighter red on the scale… my oldest son has bright red/orange/ginger hair… everyone is always like “WhErE did YoUr ReD hAiR cOmE fRoM?!” Ummm “Hi, it me. I’m the mama, it’s me.” 🫠🫣🙄 obviously my husband has the gene in his family as well but good grief.
