@moby.co: In what looked like a clip from Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” President Trump and Fed Chairman, clad in white construction helmets and looking highly uncomfortable being around each other side by side, were filmed by the press today as they reviewed the costs at the Fed headquarters in Washington. During their back and forth in front of the media, Trump stated that the construction costs for the renovation of the two Fed buildings have topped “$3.1 billion.” “I haven’t heard that from anybody,” Powell replied, clearly confused, perplexed, and a little sad, stating that the price increase was actually from a third government building, which was “built five years ago.” Despite that, President Trump spoke to reporters after the tour and said it was "not necessary" to fire Powell, noting that believes that he'll "do the right thing." The president later took to Truth Social to let America know that it was a “Great Honor to tour the Renovation” and the country is doing “very well” and “can afford just about anything - Even the cost of this building!” So, it looks like Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and his renovations are in the clear, for now.
