TikTok's algorithm is designed in a way that every interaction — whether it's a like, share, or comment — is interpreted as a sign of interest. And the more effort you put into your engagement, especially through long or detailed comments, the more aggressively the platform assumes you want to see more of that kind of content. As a result, your feed starts to fill up with similar videos, creating an echo chamber that becomes harder and harder to break out of. What genuinely concerns me the most, though, is observing how many people unknowingly contribute to this cycle by leaving comments under such videos. They often do so with good intentions — to express disagreement, correct misinformation, or simply share their thoughts — but they don’t realize that by doing so, they’re actually reinforcing the very content they may disapprove of. The algorithm doesn’t understand context or tone; it only sees activity, and that activity fuels further exposure. Personally, I’ve made a conscious decision to steer clear of commenting in these situations. It's not about staying silent — it's about being aware of how these systems work and refusing to play into them. The best way to keep your feed clean and balanced is to withhold engagement altogether when you come across content that doesn’t align with what you actually want to see more of.
