Cambodia, we wanted peace, we suggested to resolve the conflict with ICJ but Thai government denied it and kept standing on “only war can end this conflict” (if they’re really innocent then tell me why they don’t want to solve this ICJ? Why are they so afraid of it? Or maybe they’re just afraid to face the truth that the temples are really ours?) they keep provoking us from cutting down product, internet, closing the entrance whenever they want to even sent back Khmer ambassador (which means there will be no room for negotiation and conversation left, and that’s why we knew that smth is def gonna happen so we prepared ourselves the night before (our prime minister decided not to let this behavior slide again) and our thoughts came true, the next morning they attacked us first so responded!! And just because we aren’t loud for how many people and infrastructure destroyed, doesn’t mean there is none! And why would we want war or start the war, when we just finished French protectorate and Khmer Rouge? Why would we want to go thru all that again? And why would we, a small country would want to have a war with Thai if we know that Thai is more powerful and bigger than us? They kept saying we stole from them but when in reality, their country didn’t even exist before Angkor Wat! I hope the world will learn more about the whole situation and the history before decided to just believe anyone with big numbers of likes or interactions on their post! Just because Thai has more media coverage than us, more popular than us, now we are the villains? STOP LETTING THAI MANIPULATE AND LIE TO YOU!! GO AND STUDY ABOUT BOTH OF OUR HISTORY AND THE WHOLE SITUATION BEFORE STARTING TO BELIEVE ANYONE!!

There's no reason for smaller country with weaker economy like Cambodia invade Thailand territory. The idea of Cambodia invading Thailand is strategically illogical and baseless. Thailand has a far stronger military, and any attack would lead to swift and devastating consequences for Cambodia. Cambodia is focused on economic development, reducing poverty, and attracting investment. A war would destroy its tourism sector, invite sanctions, and reverse years of progress. As a member of ASEAN, Cambodia is committed to peaceful conflict resolution, not aggression. Border issues are addressed through negotiation and legal means. In short, war with Thailand brings no benefit—only disaster. Cambodia’s true national interest lies in peace, stability, and growth.

There is a reason why Thailand told its people to evacuate the border area days before, they intended to provoke Cambodia. Anyone with common sense would understand this. Thailand doesn’t even have a proper leader or prime minister in control of the army at the moment. The military appears to be control by some egoistic nationalists. The landmines were planted during the Khmer Rouge and the French colonial era. How is it Cambodia’s fault that Thailand walked in our country without permission and they step on it? PLUS Cambodia tried to resolve this through the ICJ ,based on past rulings that already confirmed its sovereignty over temple areas. Thailand refused, rejected the legal process, and instead moved troops and barbed wire into disputed land. That’s not “defense,” that’s provocation. On July 24, both sides claim the other shot first ,but when one side avoids court and escalates militarily, it’s clear who’s undermining peace. Cambodia acted in self-defense. This isn’t just about gunfire,it’s about who respects law and who ignores it.
